Historic Holiday Nights in Old City

An event every week that begins at 5:00pm on Thursday, repeating until December 28, 2017
Celebrate the season in America’s most historic square mile with Historic Holiday Nights in Old City, presented by Old City District.
Carolers, History Makers and a Tree Lighting Ceremony will signal the start of the holiday season in Old City, Philadelphia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30. The kickoff celebration will take place at the Betsy Ross House courtyard (239 Arch Street) and will feature Betsy Ross, carolers, and the new Old City District Design Tree. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 6:00 p.m. Fezziwig’s Sweet Shoppe will offer seasonal sips and snacks, including their famous kettle korn. Visitors can enjoy $1 off admission at the Betsy Ross House, which will offer extended hours until 8:00 p.m.
Elfreth’s Alley, America’s oldest residential street, will also offer extended visiting hours from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. (126 Elfreth’s Alley).
In addition, get all of your holiday shopping done in one place, and enjoy some seasonal dishes and sips in Old City! More than 50 participating boutiques, shops, art galleries, museums, restaurants and cafes around the neighborhood will treat visitors to special sales, discounts, promotions and menu items.
Historic Holiday Nights in Old City takes place every Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., November 30th through December 28th. Be sure not to miss weekly performances at the Betsy Ross House courtyard!
