The Student Leader Meetup introduces college students to mission-driven professionals who are inspiring positive change in the region. Students will learn from regional activists, civic leaders, artists, and others about how they began, what challenges they face, and what they hope their impact will be in the future. This meetup is all about empowering students to discover how to apply their skills towards mission-driven work and take their passion for civic engagement beyond their campus and into the community.

You don’t have to wait for a Campus Philly event to launch your career. Start your future in Philly with these easy tips:

  1. Hundreds of local employers are on, waiting to meet someone like you. All you have to do to take advantage of the site is sign up! Don’t know where to start? Campus Philly publishes a weekly roundup of our favorite gigs.
  2. If you haven’t been already, go to your career service office (even alumni can do this). Your career coach at this office will become your cheerleader in the job search. They’ll give you tips and tricks and if a dream gig pops up, they’ll be the first to tell you about it. But this can’t happen if you don’t go in and meet them!
  3. Even if you’re not actively searching for a gig, you should be working towards making yourself more competitive. Use this time to polish your resume, volunteer at an organization of your interest or take an online class that will supplement what you’re learning in school!
