Stakeholder Newsletter January 2017

Campus Philly Stakeholder Newsletter

January 2017

Dear {!Contact.FirstName},

It’s the second semester of the year and most of the students Campus Philly serves will be in the workforce this summer. We wanted to learn more about how students are preparing themselves for life after college and we’re now poring over results from a survey of more than 1,000 regional college students. Some striking findings so far include:

  • 66% say they are likely to stay in Philadelphia after they graduate, up from 58% when we asked college students this question in 2010.
  • In evaluating job opportunities, current students rank opportunity for job growth above company mission, salary, and company culture.

The full report on these survey findings will be released at Campus Philly’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at International House, so mark your calendars. Joining us to discuss these findings and their implications for our region will be the president of Swarthmore College, Valerie Smith and the senior executive vice president of Comcast, David L. Cohen.

Listening and learning from the students we serve is key to Campus Philly’s success and in the newsletter items below you’ll see how the insight gained from this most current piece of research is influencing our programming going forward.

Thank you for your continued support,

Sincerely,

Deborah Diamond
