Weekend Arts Guide | Smell the roses, soak up the sounds + more!


Spring has officially sprung, and Philly’s art scene is blooming faster than ever! Check out these awesome events in your favorite city this weekend!

Philadelphia Flower Show
Wake up and smell the roses…literally! There’s no better way to celebrate spring and warm weather than by admiring a variety of beautiful flowers, presented by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. Don’t forget to take lots of pictures, and tag us on Instagram! Check out Flowers After Hours on Thursday, March 10!

Art Cappella
If you are a Pitch Perfect fanatic, this is for you! Sit back and relax as students from local colleges show off their pipes and battle it out with awesome arrangements of your favorite songs. The best part? You get to help decide who takes home the trophy!

Jazz Residency Artists Kendrah Butler and Shamika Byrd
Experience Kendrah Butler on piano and Shamika Byrd’s vocals as they perform music designed to acknowledge the contributions made by African Americans on the jazz experience as we know it. Through performance, this notable duo hope to expand the definition of what jazz music can be.
