The fall semester welcomes fresh and familiar faces back to college campuses. For many students, this is the time to start planning their next step– researching employers and companies, building relationships at internships, attending career building events.
Partnering with over 30 colleges and universities, Campus Philly has the ability to reach this diverse, engaged and eager student audience who is ready to launch careers in Philadelphia. One of the many ways we connect? Our annual fall career and networking events, like SPARK:Philly, Create-adelphia and Online Job and Internships Fair (OJIF).
Phase 1: Get Inspired.
On Thursday, September 29, we welcomed students and employers to WHYY Studios for SPARK:Philly. SPARK is Campus Philly’s newest event, which is built on the premise that real connections should always be at the center of every career search. This event gave students the opportunity to gain real insight into launching a successful career in Philadelphia straight from employers who have thrived here. Leaders from Philadelphia-area companies encouraged small group discussions by drawing upon their own experiences and answered any questions students had. Phase 2: Make Connections.
Create-adelphia is a student’s chance to learn the ins and outs of all sectors of the local creative industry. On Thursday, October 13 at Pipeline Philly, students will have the chance to hear about the range of local opportunities available in Philadelphia’s thriving creative and cultural sector and learn how to get started from a panel of local professionals working at companies and arts institutions across the Philadelphia region. Afterwards, there will be a networking reception to meet students interested in building a creative career. There’s still time to register! You can do that at campusphilly.org/careerevents.
Phase 3: Take Action.
Campusphilly.org/careers makes it easy for students to launch their career in Philly. Make a profile, show off their personality and connect to hundreds of local employers who want to meet them! Our career site is working for students and employers around the clock; but twice a year we shine a special spotlight on our career listings by producing Online Job and Internship Fairs (OJIF). During this fair, hundreds of employers are looking to recruit their next rock star come to campusphilly.org/careers. Participating in the fair is easy for both employers and students, just sign in and start searching and posting!
