Hello my fellow Philadelphians! I can’t believe tomorrow is the first day of November– time flies when you have a crazy school schedule! This week is a transitional one because we’re still riding the Halloween wave AND gearing up for the holiday season. Here are my special picks on what to keep an eye out for this week:

Make America Skate Again | Tonight! Monday, Oct. 31

The Fillmore is not only celebrating their one-year anniversary but also celebrating Halloween! This October 31st from 8p.m. to 2a.m., the popular music venue is celebrating with an all-night roller skating party!

Terror Behind the Walls: LAST CHANCE!! | Monday, Oct. 31 to Saturday, Nov.5

If you haven’t had a chance to hit terror behind the walls just yet, this is your very last chance. Grab some friends, some warm clothing and get spooked and learn a little bit of history too at Terror Behind the Walls final week of Halloween thrills.

Día de los Muertos at Fleisher Art Memorial | Tuesday, Nov. 1

The event will have mariachi singer, a Day of the Dead altar, face painting and much, much more! Make sure to get there early, starting at 5 on the dot, a Dia de los Muertos procession leaves Fleisher and makes its way to the Italian market, returning at 6 for the rest of the festivities!

Apple Festival at Peddler’s Village | Saturday, Nov. 5 to Sunday, Nov. 6

Looking for some great fall fun with your pals? Hit up the Peddler’s Village Apple Festival! Not only just apple picking, but featuring some fun treats like apple butter, apple cider, apple dumplings, apple fritter, caramel dipped apples and everyone’s favorite event to watch: pie-eating contests (with apple pies of course).

Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival | Saturday, Nov. 5 to Saturday, Nov. 19

The Festival brings over 30 films from more than 12 countries with a variety of genres that are highlighting Jewish heritage, culture and history. If you’re super into cinema and want to check out more on Philly’s film scene, check out this post by Nakie Uzeiri guiding you through more festivals going on throughout the city.

There you have it! Z’s weekly picks for the week of October 31st to November 6th! If you have any suggestions for things to do don’t forget hesitate to tweet us @CampusPhilly! See you all next week for more of my weekly Philly picks!
