Solutions to Resolutions: Explore the Philadelphia Food Scene

bloggraphics-treatment2

Go beyond the dining hall and explore the flavors of Philadelphia! From grabbing a coffee to ending your night with a sweet treat, we hope our suggestions will get your stomach gears turning. Happy exploring and eating!

Grab a coffee!
There’s always time to get a hot (or cold) cup of joe from one of these java joints. You must check out La Colombe’s flagship cafe in Fishtown. While we were waiting in line, we overheard someone say, “This place is totally insta-worthy.” Go see for yourself!

Start a brunch club! This is a great way to try new food and explore neighbohoods.  Brunch club is like a book club but you know, with food. Similar to a bibliophile’s meetup, you pick a book restaurant and have a monthly discussion feast. For our wallet’s sake, monthly is best.  Looking for brunch-spiration? Start with uwishunu’s list, The Best Places for Brunch in Philadelphia. We recently tried Hungry Pigeon on Fabric Row and it was A+.

(If brunch isn’t your thing) Start a dinner club! Start by making reservations during Restaurant Week, January 22-27 and January 29-February 3. Participating restaurants will offer three-course dinners for only $35 per person. In addition, many participating restaurants will also offer a three-course lunch for $20. Check out Campus Philly’s Restaurant Week Itinerary here

(If you’re 21+) Cash in on a pre-dinner club happy hour! You’ll find HH deals for any day of the week here.

Sink your teeth into an ice cream sandwich! Head to Weckerly’s in Fishtown for the most delicious ice cream sammy ever.
