Philly To Do: Intern Dan’s Weekly Picks

bloggraphics-treatment7

This week is all about exhibits, with a wide range of exhibits encompassing topics like magic, history, and wildlife. Also, yet another restaurant week, you’ll have to venture a little outside of Philly for this one though!

Prohibition Exhibit

Experience the culture of the Roaring 20’s with American Spirits: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition at the National Constitution Center. With over 100 artifacts and interactive exhibits, the spirit of the prohibition era is relived.

KOP Restaurant Week

Situated a little outside of Philly, the King of Prussia Restaurant Week brings together participating restaurants to offer discounted meals. Lunch meals start as low as $10, with $15 and $20 options available too. If you didn’t make it in time for lunch, there’s always dinner! $20, $30, and $40 installments are available – saving you the hassle of overspending on dinner.

Jurassic World Exhibit

If you’re a fan of the Jurassic Park series, or just fascinated by dinosaurs, the Jurassic World Exhibit at The Franklin Institute brings to life the prehistoric creatures in interactive and educational ways. The exhibit is as close as to being fully immersed in Jurassic World as you could wish for.

Magic in the Ancient World

From Egypt and Mesopotamia to Greece and Rome, the PENN Museum debuts Magic in the Ancient World. The exhibit features 81 artifacts from these ancient civilizations to give us a peek into their magical uses. The exhibition will feature an interactive station for ancient magical solutions to your problems and another that questions your belief in magic.
