Philly Tech Week Block Party
Thursday, May 4 from 4 – 8 p.m. | Schmidt’s Commons, 1001 N. 2nd Street

Some of the best companies in Philadelphia are partnering to present a star-studded cast of the most exciting outdoor and party games for the PTW 2017 Block Party! Plus over 50 of the city’s greatest game developers will be presenting the best video games of the century for EVERYONE to play! RSVP for FREE access to drink specials, discounts, and more!


Philadelphia Art Book Fair
Friday, May 5 – Saturday, May 6 | Twelve 27, 1227 N. 4th Street

The annual Philadelphia Art Book Fair which showcases a wide range of exhibitors, from large and small photography and art book publishers to individual artists and institutions, local, national and international. Free and open to the public, the Book Fair will feature book signings and a host of published works to peruse, review and add to your collection.


South Street Spring Festival
Saturday, May 6 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. | South Street between Front & 8th Streets

South Street kicks off Philly’s summer festival season with a totally free, all day, all-ages celebration of the city’s best sights, sounds, tastes and sips. HIGHLIGHTS: 40 bands rocking three stages and seven performance areas,  30+ restaurants/bars serving outside, dozens of artists selling their handmade wares, Free Comic Book Day, Maifest and Philly’s largest Maypole + more!


Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival
Tuesday, May 9 through Sunday, June 11  starting at 6 p.m. daily | Franklin Square, 200 6th St.

The park will glow with 29 new handcrafted lanterns, including a newly rebuilt 200-foot Chinese dragon (a favorite lantern from last year) constructed by lantern artisans from China. Other lantern designs include a brand-new entrance gate, sea creatures, lions, pandas and mythological creatures.


Night Market Philadelphia: Burholme
Thursday, May 11 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. |  Cottman & Rising Sun

The uber-popular festival organized by The Food Trust highlights the city’s amazing dining scene by inviting dozens and dozens of food trucks and neighborhood restaurants to serve up food and drinks in a festival-style outdoor event (read: on streets and sidewalks).
