Oh, the Places You’ll Go This Weekend in Philly!

The best way to explore Philadelphia? Walking! Lace up your sneakers and head out to  Philly Free Streets, this Saturday from 8AM-1PM. Enjoy “three-and-a-half miles of car-free, free-activity-filled roads for pedestrians, joggers and bicyclists to explore from Philadelphia’s Historic District all the way to the El Centro de Oro neighborhood in North Philly.”

On your walk, try to spot some of the Monument Lab installations scattered throughout the city.  Maybe your Free Streets stroll will take you South to the South Street Pumpkinfest or  East Passyunk’s Fall Fest and Spooky Saturday.

If you want to go down a less traveled path this weekend,  walk along Kelly Drive to catch the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta or ride up to Fairmount Park’s Shofuso Japanese House and Garden for Yokai Family Weekend!

If it’s not a walk around the city, consider planning a mini road trip. Hop on a train, jump in your car (or Zipcar) to explore one of the “22 small towns near Philly you need to visit right now!
