Photo Recap: Another Successful My Philly Summer Event for Interns in Philadelphia!

Summer interns converged on the Delaware River’s Independence Seaport Museum last week for My Philly Summer, the annual meetup hosted by Campus Philly for interns from companies all around the Greater Philadelphia area including: Comcast, Bentley Systems, Pennoni, SEPTA, Witty Gritty, Campus Philly and many, many more.

In fact, this year’s My Philly Summer had over 100 attendees! Every attendee had the opportunity to meet other interns from different industries and backgrounds, enjoy delicious (and FREE!) food, and play Philly-themed Quizzo for prizes, all while networking with fellow interns and local companies, making valuable connections that could shape the future of their careers.

Meet-ups like My Philly Summer are so important as you develop your career, as the connections you make now can lead to job and internship opportunities in the future. If you didn’t get the chance to come to this year’s My Philly Summer, be sure to save the date for our Launch Events planned for this fall, starting in October.

Campus Philly is determined to always provide Philly students with opportunities for success.  CollegeFest is coming up on September 8, and it’s guaranteed to be your best five hours in the city you’ll have all year, plus it’s yet another opportunity to meet fellow students and young professionals.

In the meantime, check out these photos on Campus Philly’s Facebook for a recap of My Philly Summer 2018!

Every intern in attendance got access to the amazing view at the Independence Seaport Museum.

Interns arrived in style, immediately hitting it off with each other and sharing the work they do.

The food?  Oh, let me tell you about the food!  Mini-wraps with a variety of meats and the most delicious salmon you’ve ever tasted!

Philly-themed Quizzo was a blast!  The interns were mixed up, dividing them into teams named after Philly Neighborhoods, and given the opportunity to talk and work with people they may not have met.

We had Spirit of Philadelphia and Cigna at the event, our wonderful sponsors who always support the success of Philly’s rising professionals!

At the end of the night, the interns left with memories of a fun time, a few (if not many) connections made, and a beautiful sunset to end the day.  Thank you to everyone that attended!  We will see you at our next event!  Stay tuned!

Check out the live coverage of My Philly Summer on Campus Philly’s Instagram highlights!  We explored the Independence Seaport Museum, met the interns in attendance, and caught a bit of Philly-themed quizzo!
