With more than 300 for-credit courses available on campus, online and abroad, Penn Summer has something for everyone. Open admission makes it easy for anyone to enroll, no matter where you are. Daytime, evening and online classes are designed to fit your summer schedule: Pursue new skills or interests in the 11-Week summer session or earn credits in half the time during Summer Sessions I and II. What will you do this summer?

Immerse yourself in another language

Dive into French, Spanish, Italian and Latin this summer. In accelerated summer sessions, you can pack a full semester of language study into a fast-paced term of 5.5 weeks.

Get smart about money

Whether or not you’re majoring in finance, courses in economics or corporate finance offer a big-picture view of how money moves on micro- and macro-scales.

Unlock your creativity

Workshops on poetry, prose, new media and writing about identity and history offer fresh techniques as you develop your craft.

Brush up on the classics

Reflect on Homer’s epic tales of war and rivalry in an online classroom, with one eye on the past and one on the present—or you can join an evening discussion of the masterpieces of 19th century Russian literature and discover why these works gained such power and prestige.

Stay in the loop

These days, there’s no such thing as a slow news cycle. Review critical perspectives in journalism to grasp the meaning of media in a time of significant technological and political change, or surf Internet studies to learn how to understand online behaviors from social media to memes.

Do the right thing

Or, more accurately, study competing philosophies of doing the right thing in courses on ethics and biomedical ethics.

See the world

You don’t have to be a Penn student to take part in Penn Summer Abroad! Undergraduates at accredited colleges or universities can earn credit, learn from experts and dig deep into topics that excite you.

Visit the Penn Summer website to learn more about courses online, on campus and abroad that can help you make you most of your summer!
