Admit it – you’re going a little stir crazy with all these snow days, canceled classes, and frigid days spent indoors. Spring is almost here, and with it comes every excuse to get outside. Admission is free, and don’t forget to pack a picnic to enjoy on some of the most historic grounds in the Philly area.
- New Hope, Pennsylvania: located in Bucks County, PA is the small town of New Hope, where you can easily spend a day walking around and just looking at how picture-perfect everything is. If it’s warm enough to eat outside, get a table at one of the many restaurants along the Delaware River, like The Landing Restaurant or Karla’s, for some of the best views. Explore the town’s eclectic shops, stroll through the quaint streets, and take the most springtime selfies at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve.
- Ocean City, New Jersey: sure, it’s not quite warm enough to be considered beach weather, but one of New Jersey’s best beach towns has a ton to offer all year round.
