Our list includes a balance of Philadelphia’s best summer events, along with some ways to improve your network and get a head start on your professional plans for the fall. Get ready to have the best summer in Philly!
The first hotspot was named one of the best places to visit in Philadelphia by national press – Spruce Street Harbor Park is essentially an urban beach on the Delaware River Waterfront This park features a boardwalk along the Delaware River, along with more than 50 colorful handmade hammocks. Surrounded by floating gardens, beautiful lights, refreshing craft beer, and popular Philly foods, you’re sure to have a great time.
There’s also an arcade with Basket Fever, Skee-ball, air hockey, claw crane games, Ms. Pacman, and two racing games. Come spend your summer days and nights chilling at a “beachfront” location, right here in the city! Grab a snack, a good book, and your comfiest outfit and enjoy your summer in the most picturesque way.

Looking for a fun day trip idea? Float down the (20 mile long!) Brandywine River, a popular hotspot in the summer. This inexpensive activity allows you to enjoy the beautiful summer weather from a different type of transportation – inner tubes! There’s no better way to beat the heat, and escape the hustle and the bustle of the city, than to spend the day floating down the river in a tube with friends.

Kelly Drive is one of Philly’s most popular running and biking destinations, with nearly 9 miles of trail along the Schuylkill River. The paved path begins behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art and winds its way along Boathouse Row before reaching Falls Bridge in East Falls.
On Kelly Drive, you will always find bikers, rowers, and runners (of all ages) who are eager to get out and explore the more hidden areas around the city. The Cherry Blossoms and pink blooms line the trail and are a beautiful addition to the scenery.
