Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Hoey and I am currently a senior journalism student at Temple University. I love to write in my free time, whether it is for research or just for fun, and I love to explore and learn what Philadelphia has to offer!

There are an endless number of things to do in and around Philadelphia for St. Patrick’s Day! Here are some you will not want to miss.

Official St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl (21+)

This exciting bar crawl will happen on March 17. The start time is 5pm, and the fun continues at various locations until 11pm. The event will start with a check-in at Howl at the Moon and will include bars such as Top Tomato Bar & Pizza, Jeff’s Tavern, Tradesman’s, and more! Tickets are on sale now, starting at $11 per ticket!

Shamrock Stroll (21+)

Not able to celebrate on St. Patrick’s Day? This is the crawl for you. The Shamrock Stroll is happening on Saturday, March 19. The event goes from 12-8pm and tickets are starting at $23.99. This crawl includes stops at Drinkers Pub, McGlinchey’s Bar, Sueno, and more!

McGillian’s Olde Ale House (21+)

Philadelphia’s oldest operating tavern will be open as early as 10am on Thursday, March 17. The bar will be charging a $5 cover at the door but will have food and drink specials available (yes, this includes green beer!). They will be open until 2am to celebrate!

Luck of the Irish 5K

This race that is 3.17 miles long is a great way to get your workout in—from wherever you want! The 5K is completely virtual and you can complete it on your own time. The sign-up price is $18, and it includes a medal and bib, and 15% of your entry will be donated to National Hemophilia Foundation. The race can be completed at any place and time, as long as it is before March 31.

Con Murphy’s Irish Pub

Con Murphy’s Irish Pub will have live music from March 16 through March 19. See the full lineup here!

Fado Irish Pub

This pub will be loaded all day with deals and live music. The doors open early on March 17, so you want to be sure to get there early! Live music from 52 Pick Up starts at 6:30pm, and by 10pm, DJ Press Play will take over. It’s a great place to check out for fun with friends!

Celebrate the Green at Peddler’s Village

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Peddler’s Village presents Celebrate the Green, a mid-March opportunity to enjoy special menus, promotions, live entertainment, and leprechaun hunt!
