American Philosophical Society Museum

The American Philosophical Society, the oldest learned society in the United States, was founded in 1743 by Benjamin Franklin for the purpose of “promoting useful knowledge.”

The current exhibit at the American Philosophical Society is Becoming Weatherwise: A History of Climate Science in America. The American Philosophical Society is delighted to have visitors back in the historic Philosophical Hall to explore the exhibition.
