Laurel Hill Cemetery

Free admission during regular hours

Laurel Hill is a unique destination for connoisseurs of art, architecture and horticulture, and the final resting place of countless individuals who shaped the history of our city and nation. Nestled on a scenic bluff high above the Schuylkill River, the site also affords spectacular views that cannot be found elsewhere.

Art, sculpture and architecture separate the magnificent Laurel Hill Cemetery from the typical graveyard. The 75-acre landscaped space holds beautiful gems, along with some notable residentsÑRittenhouse, Strawbridge, Widener, Elkins, General Meade and six Titanic passengers. Visitors can enjoy free self-guided or cell phone tours, or join special events such as the GravediggersÕ Ball.
