UMA’s lineup of classes are primarily based in contemporary Black American folkloric dance, African folkloric dance, Latin American dance and contemporary somatic and movement culture practices. Some of you might be wondering what Black American folkloric dance is- anything from Lindy Hop to Hip Hop to Breakdance are American folklore and were born in U.S.’s Black communities. UMA is a proud ambassador of many dance forms that fall into the category of Black American Folklore.

UMA invites you to explore the many benefits that come from a dance practice with us. Yay Clay!

3237 Amber Street, Philadelphia, PA 19134

There’s a reason YAY CLAY has repeatedly been named Best Kids’ Class by Philadelphia Magazine – it’s because they offer tons of classes in a really fun atmosphere at ridiculously reasonable prices. Check out their schedule and let us know when you want to come and what you want to do here!

Way back in 2008, Keith Grabowsky had a vision of combining his two passions: clay and teaching. He began teaching private and group lessons in NJ and very soon had a loyal (and growing) following. After a move to Philadelphia and an extensive search for the perfect location, YAY CLAY! opened their doors in 2014, and has been named – repeatedly – one of Philadelphia’s hottest date spots as well as the #1 Kid’s Class.

YAY CLAY!’s sprawling 1700sf light-filled studio is located in the thriving art community of Port Richmond in “The Loom South” building. TechnicallyPhilly notes “With its 80 tenants in the 250,000 square foot space at roughly Franklin and Allegheny Avenues, The Loom hosts the largest collection of artisans in the city.” YAY CLAY! is proud to be part of this community and is committed to keeping the artistic legacy alive in Port Richmond.

You can check out their schedule here to see when you can unleash your inner creativity at Yay Clay! Make sure to also check out their FAQ page for any questions you may have.
