University of the Sciences, founded in 1821, is a private institution offering degree programs in the health sciences, pharmaceutical sciences and arts and sciences. There are three undergraduate schools and one graduate school. In addition to regional accreditation, the university has baccalaureate program accreditation with ACPE and APTA. The 30-acre campus is set in an urban area in the University City section of Philadelphia.
650 students can live in college housing, which includes co-ed dormitories and on-campus suites. In addition, there is an honors residence hall. On-campus housing is guaranteed for the first and second years. 70% of students live on campus or nearby; of those, 70% remain on campus on weekends. Alcohol is not permitted.
Held during the summer months, this program offers information about the admission and financial aid processes and a tour of the campus.
Want to find out what it is like to spend a day on the USP campus, going to class, eating in the student center and hanging out with friends? Students who have applied may opt to shadow a USP student for a day, Monday through Friday, during the academic year. Consider this your own personal open house. Plan ahead though—we need two weeks’ notice to ensure your best experience.
The Admission Office schedules individual tours of the campus between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, except during our summer session when we are closed on Fridays.
We encourage you to contact the Admission Office to schedule an appointment prior to a campus visit. Call toll-free at 888.996.USIP (8747) for more information or visit our website at usciences.edu.
