DesignPhiladelphia is a twelve day festival happening every year in October with the mission to make Philadelphia a hub for design excellence, support local designers, and demonstrate to the public the impact of design on our everyday lives. From October 4-15, universities, cultural institutions, civic associations, city agencies, retailers, manufacturers, and firms across the city put on over 100 engaging events, and they need volunteers to help make it a success!
Volunteering for DesignPhiladelphia is not just an activity; it’s a powerful way to connect with the design community, support those in need, and gain new skills & experiences that can enhance your personal & professional life. As student volunteers, you’ll be able to attend events free of charge and mingle with design professionals in your field – from attendees & other volunteers to the firms & artists putting on the events. You’ll even be able to attend the Kickoff Party at Cherry Street Pier along with events put on by MillerKnoll, Steelcase, various firms, and a fashion show!
If you’re interested in volunteering, join the DesignPhiladelphia Volunteers group to sign up for volunteer shifts. If you want to plan a group volunteering experience with a club, class, or department, reach out to Preeti Reddy ([email protected]) from the DesignPhiladelphia team who can set it up!
