The Philadelphia Theatre Company is putting on Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill by Lanie Robertson and directed by Jeffrey Page.
The time is 1959. The place is a seedy bar in Philadelphia. The audience is about to witness one of Billie Holiday’s last performances, given four months before her death. More than a dozen musical numbers are interlaced with salty, often humorous reminiscences to project a riveting portrait of the lady and her music.
The show is running from  April 6th – April 30th, and a Show Calendar can be found here.
Students have the opportunity to see our shows at a discounted price using our Student Flex Pass. Three tickets must be bought to qualify for the discount and each ticket only costs $15, they can be used all for one performance or spread throughout the 2022-23 Season.
