Founded by Vashti DuBois in light of her own life experiences, The Colored Girl Museum pays tribute to the stories, experiences, and history of Colored Girls. This museum explores what it truly means to be a Black woman and girl, as exhibits are curated through personal submissions of Colored Girls living in America. Although this museum highlights the life experiences, triumphs, and history of Black women, it welcomes all people to come hear their stories and celebrate Black culture and womanhood.
