Intern Operations Management: COO Assistant

As an operations management intern, you’ll be supporting our COO with all activities regarding the onboarding of locations and the operations of Vanguard Realty Alliance, LLC. You will assist with the scenes work to support in completing various internal and external projects. Your decisions, analysis, and work will directly impact what we do on a day-to-day basis.
POSITION GOALS & OBJECTIVES
• Work in conjunction COO in the administrative support and monitoring of projects
• Interact with internal stakeholders and key suppliers to ensure the needs and objectives of projects are met
• Set up and attend meetings, take meeting minutes and help in writing and updating status reports
• Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier quotations and place orders
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs, and determine the reason for any discrepancies
• Assist in the development of manuals, operational processes, and tools
• Assist in the development of a communications platform
• Assist with developing our investor podcast
• Assist with developing our Commercial Real Estate division
• Assist with property management and Airbnb management
• Navigate company software systems to ensure project orders and other information is correct and kept up to date

Digital Marketing Internship
The digital marketing intern will support the Digital Communications Specialist and the Office of Communications with daily activities and projects. The intern will also assist in the execution of various aspects of digital marketing campaigns to maximize outreach, engagement, and campaign performance.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Digital Communications Specialist with the creation/editing of website pages, forms, social media posts/graphics, blog posts, etc.
• Help monitor and support all social platforms and digital marketing efforts
• Help compile and analyze reports and data from all digital marketing campaigns and other initiatives including search engine optimization
• Facilitate student relationships and engagement
• Provide support for special projects within the Office of Communications as needed
Skills & Abilities:
• Highly motivated and energetic
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeable of current social media trends
• Experience with managing social media platforms
• Experience with a content management system
• Experience with a social media management platform is a plus (Hootsuite, TweetDeck, Linktree, etc.)

Photography & Videography Internship
General Summary:
The photography and videography intern will support the Office of Communications with daily creative designs and projects. The intern will be responsible for creating visual content that will be used on the University’s websites, social media platforms and in email campaigns.
Responsibilities:
• Capture stock video and photos of campus, students, events, etc.
• Capture and edit together video Instagram reels and social media-based video
• Assist with graphic design for various projects
• Organize and catalog existing and new photography
• Provide support for special projects within the Office of Communications as needed
Skills & Abilities:
• Highly motivated and a self-starter
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with photography and videography using a DSLR camera
• Experience with the Adobe Suite
• Experience with online editors like Canva
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Marketing & Events Internship
General Summary:
The marketing and events intern will provide support to the Office of Communications in assisting with event preparation, staffing and follow up activities as well as other marketing/event duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the coordination of event participation
• Pack marketing/promotional materials for upcoming events
• Attend events located near Salus University and its clinical facilities
• Provide set up of marketing/promotional materials prior to event times
• Act as a brand ambassador at events by promoting Salus University and clinic services to the community
• Take photos of event activities for social media promotion after the event
• Provide support for marketing and special projects within the Office of Communications as needed
Skills and Abilities:
• Highly motivated and energetic
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work evening/weekend hours when necessary
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Valid driver’s license, free of violations and suspensions

General Summary:
The communications/marketing intern provides support to the Office of Communications assisting with print and online messaging and strategic campaign creation.
This internship will provide valuable experience in supporting the communications team in regards to branding, marketing materials and content development.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with creating website, social media, and newsletter content
• Write press releases, media advisories, and promotional copy
• Draft and edit basic communications materials including flyers and brochures
• Assist with planning & participation in community- based events
