In America, we’re wasting more than double the amount of food needed to feed every hungry person. Sharing Excess is a student run nonprofit that rescues excess food from restaurants and grocery stores and redistributes it back to the community. Started at Drexel University, Sharing Excess is now one of the most civically engaged student organizations in the city and the new home of West Philly’s first ever food bank.
As we expand, we are looking for stellar lead food rescue drivers to help us deliver surplus food back to the community on a regular basis. Food rescue drivers can earn up to $20 per delivery route with their personal vehicle. Hours are flexible and good karma is plentiful.
