As told by DANIELLE SOBIESKI | Drexel University | CLASS OF 2020 | @delcia_sobs

Here I have the feeling of being in a big city without ever feeling overwhelmed, and since University City (where Drexel is) is just over the SCHUYLKILL RIVER, I can walk here, or easily take the bus or subway using SEPTA.

My favorite time to walk around is on the weekend because of the FARMERS MARKET IN RITTENHOUSE SQUARE, especially the DR. PICKLE stand – delicious.

There are so many amazing restaurants in the area, but my favorites are PARC BRASSERIE (grab a table outside if you can!) and THE DANDELION.

I love visiting the 400,000+ rare books and manuscripts by authors like Edgar Allan Poe and Maurice Sendak at the ROSENBACH MUSEUM & LIBRARY.

If you enjoy taking pictures, the SOUTH STREET BRIDGE is beautiful for sunsets and skyline views!

SCHUYLKILL BANKS BOARDWALK is really nice for walks along the river and a quick workout.

Sometimes there’s Free YOGA in Rittenhouse Square, and classes at the Lululemon store on Walnut Street – also home to more than 200 restaurants, cafés, high-end stores and local shops.

Insider tip: The CURTIS INSTITUTE OF MUSIC, one of the most prestigious music conservatories in the world, has free student recitals!
