I love the silence of being away from downtown while still being in the city. There are so many beautiful old houses around here, and walking to all my favorite spots in the neighborhood is easy.

I like to get work done at VAULT+VINE, a greenhouse and coffee shop. They sell flowers, plants and candles, plus delicious pastries and coffee that you can enjoy among the plants. They also host interesting events like calligraphy workshops!

One of my favorite things to do is walk down Midvale Avenue, grab a falafel wrap from GOLDEN CRUST II and enjoy it with a view of all the bridges along the Schuylkill River.

On the weekends, I love to take photographs and walk around HISTORIC RITTENHOUSE TOWN, with houses dating back to the late 1600s, all the way to WISSAHICKON CREEK.

The Towpath trail runs alongside the Manayunk Canal, and the MANAYUNK BRIDGE TRAIL is an awesome car-free pathway that spans above it. Both are great for biking, running, walking or other car-free adventures!

There’s always a new restaurant, café, art gallery or shop to discover on MAIN STREET in Manayunk. WINNIE’S LE BUS is the best for brunch, and TAQUERIA FELIZ is great for dining out with friends!
