As told by LEAH HILLEGAS | Temple University | CLASS OF 2019 | @templefoodies

In University City, I feel like I’m in a totally different world! There’s less hustle and bustle than in Center City, and I can easily get there on the MARKET-FRANKFORD LINE or SEPTA Regional Rail.

There’s an amazing food scene here. I love WHITE DOG CAFÉ’s cheese board. RAMEN BAR is my favorite place to get the Japanese dish, plus they have Happy Hour! $4 appetizers anyone?

SABRINA’S CAFÉ is one of the best brunch spots in the city. They’re known for their beautiful (and huge) French toast. LIL POP SHOP’s popsicles and pies are made in house and everything is delicious, plus the store itself is super cute and extremely Instagrammable. Who doesn’t love good food and photo opps?

CIRA GREEN has some of the coolest city views. It feels so relaxing to just sit and enjoy the skyline. Also, this is another super Instagrammable spot, especially during golden hour.

CLARK PARK is another one of my favorite outdoor spots. It’s huge! Plus, there’s a Farmers Market every Saturday.

I love all the events that happen year-round at THE PORCH AT 30TH STREET STATION, especially when the food trucks come by.

Insider tip: Even if you’re under 21, University City’s restaurants have cheap food options during Happy Hour!
