Chestnut Hill College, founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in 1924, is an independent, Catholic institution that fosters equality through education. Chestnut Hill College’s 14 teams compete in the NCAA Division II: seven women’s, six men’s and one co-ed. We are a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), with the exception of our men’s lacrosse program, which competes in the East Coast Conference (ECC). More than 30 different clubs and organizations include opportunities in music and theater ensembles, special interest groups, student government, service and intramurals.

Programs of Study

We offer more than 30 majors and 30 minors. Students spend four years completing a core curriculum, while also specializing in their major of interest. Some of our newest programs offered include Forensic Biology, Forensic Chemistry, International Business Language and Culture and Communication and Technology. Other popular majors of interest include Psychology, Education, Biology, Criminal Justice, Music and Music Education.

Visitor Information

We have daily visit opportunities at Chestnut Hill College; tours depart daily at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. We also offer a variety of Saturday visits, which feature a major component in the spring semester. Our large open houses are offered once in October and once in November. To register for any of these events, please visit our site.

Located on the Northwest corner of Philadelphia, Chestnut Hill College is easily accessible from the PA Turnpike, Route 309 or the 476 Northeast Extension.
