Campus Philly Stakeholder Newsletter

April 2015

Dear Campus Philly Stakeholders,

Spring and summer in Philadelphia give Campus Philly so many opportunities to help students to fall in love with the city. Many students found their summer internships through our Online Job and Internship Fair in March, and our My Philly Summer program will partner with employers to ensure that these students have a summer experience that gets them thinking about Philadelphia for their future. We look forward to the warmer days ahead and seeing our festivals, sidewalk cafes, summer movie nights and pop-up gardens packed with students.

Summer in the city.

PhiladelphiaWe had our most successful Online Job and Internship Fair to date last month, with 1,581 students logging on to browse over 1,000 career opportunities. Now that interns and employers have connected, we look forward to staying in touch with everyone through our My Philly Summer Program. During the months of May and June, we'll speak to interns and employers about all the benefits and amenities the city has to offer young professionals, and then we'll all come together at our My Philly Summer Party, sponsored and hosted by Comcast, for networking and fun on Tuesday, July 14 at Ralph's Café on the 43rd floor of the Comcast Center. More details on how to register in next month's newsletter.

And springtime partnerships.

PhiladelphiaBut before we work with employers to introduce Philly in the summertime, we've been busy collaborating with many partners this spring: the Philadelphia Science Festival on an event around the science of networking; the Philadelphia Flower Show on an Open Arts College Night for students; the Phillies on their College Night Series; and Philly Tech Week. A partnership with Campus Philly brings more students to your door (or field) — the Flower Show saw student attendance double this year — and we look forward to equally successful results with our other partners.

Speaking of partners.

Campus Philly is proud to welcome Frontline Technologies to our Corporate Membership Program as well as welcome back three others that have renewed their partnership for the coming year: Comcast, Vanguard and Zipcar. We thank them – and all of our corporate members – for supporting Campus Philly’s mission and look forward to working with each of them to connect with our region’s college students and recent graduates.

And looking forward to fall.

Meet 5,000 students from 100+ schools at Campus Philly CollegeFest on September 12 at Dilworth Park next to Philadelphia City Hall. CollegeFest is Campus Philly's annual “welcome to Philadelphia” event for new and returning college students. Watch our video from 2014 and make plans to join us as an Exclusive Partner or Exhibitor. Campus Philly has opportunities available in the 80,000-print 2015-16 Insider Guide to Philadelphia as well. Contact Lindsey Campbell for more information.

Campus Philly CollegeFest

Not to be missed.

Save the date of June 4, 2015, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., for Campus Philly's 2015 Partner Appreciation Event, sponsored by TargetX. Campus Philly is planning a special experience especially for our higher ed partners hosted by the Academy of Vocal Arts…one part educational and two parts fun! More details are coming soon but, for now, please mark your calendars.

Lastly, we've moved!

PhiladelphiaWe have made the leap from our office at 1515 Market Street across the courtyard to 1500 John F Kennedy Boulevard, Suite 411, Philadelphia, 19102 (with a great view of Love Park!). Our new offices feature some of the newest work stations and spaces courtesy of our Sentinel corporate partner, Herman Miller. Stay tuned for our open house party coming this summer. Our phone number is still the same at 215.988.1707, so that's one less thing for you to remember.

Thanks as always for your continued support of Campus Philly,
