Cherry Street Pier Opening Day

The revitalization and activation of once-vacant public spaces continues in Philadelphia this fall with the opening of Cherry Street Pier, a new, multifaceted public space inside the formerly unoccupied Municipal Pier 9 situated on Philadelphia’s Delaware River waterfront.

Visitors will find a casual area for dining and drinking near the entrance of Cherry Street Pier (The Hub) alongside a bazaar where local artisans and merchants can showcase and sell their goods (The Market).

The Food Trust Market

On Saturdays, all roads lead to Cherry Street! For the first time ever on the Waterfront enjoy what will be the largest, weekly open-air market, presented in partnership with The Food Trust.

Weekly, The Food Trust’s Market at Cherry Street Pier Presented by Aetna will boast fresh, affordable food from area culinary entrepreneurs, and feature some of Philadelphia’s best creative sellers, independent retailers, and visual and performing artists. We invite everyone to make their way down to Cherry Street Pier and grab a week’s worth of fresh produce, purchase a gift or two from vendors, enjoy work from local artists, and savor views of the Ben Franklin Bridge. You won’t leave empty-handed or without great memories.
